The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic Men's service organization of consisting of approximately 2.0 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.
As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including 12 free issues annually of the Columbia magazine, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance and investment program, and many more family and personal benefits.
Locally, besides the many hours of volunteerism, this Council has provided financial support by offering --
- scholarships to students going to Catholic HS through an essay program;
- supporting vocational programs for seminarians and novices;
- supporting Pro-Life activities;
- donating money to the Special Olympics and the Miracle League;
- working with our parishes and their ministries.
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Application blanks are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus. Any Third Degree member in good standing is eligible for membership in the Patriotic (Fourth) Degree. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of and loyalty to the Knights' respective countries through active membership in local Fourth Degree groups (called "assemblies"). Members of the Fourth Degree that purchase regalia serve as honor guards at civic and religious functions, an activity that has brought worldwide recognition to the Knights of Columbus.

Union Council 345 was formed 120 years ago in the City of Easton and has a distinguished record of service to both our catholic parishes and our community. Our Council serves the parishes of Holy Ghost, Our Lady of Lebanon, Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St Anthony's of Padua, and St Jane Frances de Chantal. As Knights we try to create a better world through charity and volunteerism. If you are looking to live out your faith in the spirit of charity by helping others, the Knights of Columbus welcomes you to join and become a Knight.
